For our founder, Nadia Hussain, that journey began earlier than most.
While studying at university, Nadia was diagnosed with premature menopause at just 18 years old. At a time when her friends were embracing the excitement and freedom of young adulthood, she then navigated devastating hair loss, fertility challenges later in her 30s, and a loss of confidence that felt impossible to explain.
"Hair is deeply personal. Losing mine through all my stages of life almost the wrong way around to other women changed the way I saw myself and the way I moved through the world."
Years later, while working as a professional hair and makeup artist, Nadia discovered that her experience was far from unique. Women of every age and background were quietly facing hair thinning, shedding, and changes in hair quality brought on by menopause, postpartum recovery, PCOS, stress, illness, and other hormonal fluctuations.
What was missing was not only effective haircare, but understanding.
